Physical Fitness

Physical fitness is the outcome of three elements working together.

  • A mental picture
  • An emotional content
  • Physical actions

 

Most skip the first two and go directly to the third and call it a workout plan.

Without a clear mental picture, energy scatters by daily events. Without emotional content, we cannot continue with fitness plans over longer periods.

A physical fitness program is how we prepare our body to engage in life at a spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical level.

Isolating physical actions based on eleven component of fitness is a start. The eleven components of fitness create a structure to focus our thoughts and prioritize our physical actions.

However, without an emotional connection to a plan, mental focus is short-lived, and physical actions stop quickly.

What is balance in life?

Traumatic events and pain create the illusion of life out of balance, while contentment and joy create the illusion of a life in balance.

Without knowing the purpose of life with a person’s awareness, it is impossible to know what balance is.
